Quick Book Review: The Selection by Kiera Cass

Photo via Goodreads.

The Selection is by far the best dystopian novel I have ever gotten my hands on and I am desperate to read the rest of the series!

America Singer, a girl who’s family has been less fortunate, is chosen to take part in The Selection – a process in which the Prince chooses his wife. When she meets Prince Maxon, she discovers maybe the royal life she’s always dreamed about isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

I LOVED this novel. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t want to! It was incredibly addicting and Kiera Cass did an incredible job on building the characters, developing them and introducing them to drama. Each twist and turn was magical, and perhaps very easy to anticipate, but it was still incredible! I need the next book in the series now!

Overall, I saw nothing majorly wrong with this novel. There were little changes I would have liked, for example twists in the story line that weren’t easy to anticipate, but that isn’t a major problem with the story.

Five out of five stars!
