Oh boy, another lovely children’s picture book with a sweet rhyming scheme and beautiful illustrations!
The Seal with a Pink Bow is a unique, imagination-filled book packed with lots of fun! This book follows Jillian as she’s out to sail with her Dad and brothers, but is way too bored. She meets a seal with a pink bow named Mary who’s ready to help cure Jillian’s boredom with games and joy.
Not only is this picture book delightfully fun to read, the pictures are also bright, colourful and so fun! It’s the kind of book I would have loved to read when I was a kid, or even when I was a reading buddy (back in elementary school). This imaginative book is entertaining and exactly what a fun reading time with parents, guardians or educators should be. This book is imagination central with an engaging story and lots to look at! There’s also a pinch of education in it, suggesting where Mary goes when it’s not the nice weather/
Overall, this is a very sweet book that was so fun to read. I highly recommend it as a children’s picture book for a pick me up read, or just for some good old fashion fun and friendly reading.
Four out of five stars.
I received this book for free from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
