Book Review
Any time I pick up an Andrew Komarnyckyj book, I know it’s going to be a thought-provoking ride. Blacktelligence Rules far succeeded my expectations and I had to binge the book because I could not put it down.
What happens when you’re a researcher and discover something the world doesn’t want to know? Well, life gets interesting.
Adam Benedict is a 28-year-old researcher who is doing work on what race is smarter. His findings are not what the average white researcher wants to know, so this puts him on the hit list. His life starts to spiral out of control as everyone from the government down to his girlfriend’s Dad seems to be out to get him. He loses almost everything, but he still wants the world to know the truth. The conspiracy gets larger as he works to clear his name, but is his research worth the fuss?
Blacktelligence Rules makes you think. We all know that race is an issue with certain people, but this book makes you really start to question what society as a whole would do with this kind of information. The farther into the book we get, the more you’ll question both sides – is the research worth fighting over? In the end, does it really matter? Why are both sides so adamant to hide or share the information? Do we really want to hide the truth over something we cannot control? Would the government really go this far to hide something white people don’t want to hear?
The thought-provoking content alone is worth the read, but the fast pace, thrills, and incredible writing style add brownie points to this book. It’s really hard to put down since you just need to know what’s going to happen. It almost felt like I was watching a movie with how detailed the descriptions are.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Andrew Komarnyckyj has such an incredible roster of books that are unique and intriguing. If you haven’t grabbed his books, now’s the time and this book is perhaps my favourite yet!
Five out of five stars.
