Night of Nyx is an excellent companion to the Nightfall Chronicles.
This little novella gives a great insight into Zorin. It gives a great deal of information alongside the novel series (of course, you don’t need to read this novella to understand the series, but for readers who are obsessed with this series, it definitely doesn’t hurt!). I think it would be best to read it after House of Ravens.
Zorin’s motivations and Danika are discussed in this novella, and it won’t disappoint the readers. The insight into this character is fantastic, and written in a beautiful perspective! The alternate POVs also makes this novella even better!
Karpov Kinrade wow-ed me yet again! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next novel in the Nightfall series!

The Nightfall series is by far a swoon worthy set of novels. It not only is a great fictional read, but it takes you away on a mental adventure and leaves you completely breathless.
This bridge novel is no different. Song of Kai, which is between Night of Nyx and Daughter of Strife, takes you away from the real world, into a fantastical, epic realm.
It is in Princess Corinne’s point of view, and gives you an insight into her world. We are introduced to new characters that also give more life to this ever growing fictional world. Emotions run wild in this story, much like the entire series. It will leave you breathless and gripping on to every word that Karpov Kinrade writes.
This novel fills in some holes while you read it, so I think it would be a great read for any fan of the Nightfall series. It might not be a mandatory read, but it increases the interest in this beautifully written world so I suggest everybody who picks up the Nightfall series reads it.
It also teaches readers an important lesson – not everything is as it seems. A royal princess can easily be a butt-kicking, fierce protecting warrior.
5 out of 5 stars! An excellent read!
The new, revised Court of Nightfall was superb!
To begin with, the cover is incredible. It is beautiful, stunning and spectacular! And once you’ve read the novel, the cover makes complete sense with the story.
Now for the review…
The story follows a color-blind teenage girl named Star as she copes with some interesting, supernatural aspects in her life. Her parents are hiding secrets from her, her best friend Jax might not be who he says he is and there’s something special about her that just seems off. And to tie it all up, Nephilim are a serious issue.
Karpov and Kinrade did an excellent job writing this novel. It is a fantasy-type novel with suspense and thrills at every turn. The novel does start off at a slow pace, but this is because the novel is explaining Star’s back story and preparing the reader with information needed further along in the novel.
This new, revised version also gave more information on the characters. There is more back story and drama which makes the characters more believable and made me feel more attached to Star, Jax and all of their fellow characters.
At the beginning, all of the terms thrown at the reader, such as Templar and Nephilim, can seem confusing to the reader, but Karpov and Kinrade explain them thoroughly throughout the novel, so by the end the reader understands almost everything going on in the nvoel.
Overall, this novel is spectacular. My opinion has not changed on Karpov and Kinrade – they can write a hit that is thrilling, suspenseful, and leaves you anticipating the next novel.
Five out of five stars!
This book is addicting, thrilling and magically creative!
You will want to finish this book in one sitting, and you’ll want to reread it again and again! Karpov Kinrade does an excellent job at creating an epic sequel that leaves readers wanting more. You wouldn’t expect a sequel to be better than the original, but KK keeps building on their story and leaving me breathless!
Arianna is a wonderfully built character who has a personality and a mind of her own. She isn’t your cookie cutter YA or adult novel star, she’s an earth shattering, beautifully written character! She has many layers and will surprise you on her journey!
The twists and turns of the plot will make any reader not want to put it down. This story is anything but boring, and that made me love it! I hate a story that slows down and creates a sense of boredom, this story makes sure you don’t have that!
Reading this book is important for the series and I would suggest reading the first novel if you are going to pick this series up. This book contains important information regarding background history of our realms and main character, but it needs the background of the first novel to serve it justice.
Five out of five stars! Karpov Kinrade wows again! A must read for fantasy lovers!
Vampire Girl is another smash hit by Karpov and Kinrade that will not disappoint!
There are seven men and they are the seven sins of hell, and man does it get hot!
But what’s different from other books about hell and sins, you might ask? This isn’t your typical burning inferno, the residents are different fantastical/mythological creatures – vampires, fae, the likes.
Our main character Arianna is a determined, strong willed girl. But, (there’s always a but) she has to marry one of the demons from hell. Despite this novel being in a fantasy setting, Karpov and Kinrade wrote it in a way you could believe it would happen. Arianna seems so real, and you get attached to her pretty quickly – you feel for what’s going to happen to her.
Overall, Karpov Kinrade does a fantastic job. I can’t wait for the next book – I’m desperate to get my hands on it!
*****This isn’t a YA novel, so keep that in mind when reading fellow bookworms!*****
